The Center for Design and Human Development (CDHD) is a repository of knowledge and artefacts designed for ensuring human development.
Designing access to knowledge: a powerful enabler of human development.
The CDHD archive and museum will host a growing collection of objects, documents and media related to design and human development and make them accessible to organizations, governments and individuals.
A knowledge resource on design and development
Since the last century, there has been growing body of knowledge on design. From creativity tools, to virtual simulations, to industrial designs and information technologies, designers have developed various tools, methods, and processes and have applied them to the field of human development. CDHD will document design's contribution to human development issues.
CDHD will collect designs in areas such as water and sanitation, agriculture, climate change, global warming, renewable energy, urbanization and transportation.

CDHD will document various events, designs, and media related to design and human development through items like industrial design objects, maps, information graphics, photographs, drawings (architectural, engineering, urban planning), interviews, policies, case studies, articles, research documents and publications.
The museum
CDHD will display objects and media from its collection through interpretative displays, historical devices, and stories from the field of human development and design in partnership with other organizations.
