My mission is to support purpose-driven organizations and individuals whose goal is to have a positive impact on people and the planet. I do this through visual communication.
I am committed to reducing my environmental impact. I strive to improve my environmental performance over time and initiating projects and activities that further reduce my impact on the environment.
This commitment to the environment extends to my customers, collaborators, and the community in which I operate. I am committed to:
- Comply with all applicable environmental regulations;
- Prevent pollution whenever possible;
- Train collaborators on the environmental impact of design and empower them to participate in further environmental impact reduction activities;
- Continually improve over time by striving to measure my environmental impact and by setting goals to reduce these impacts each year.
Latest environmental impact activities:
2023
- Over 80% of clients are working towards having a positive impact on the planet and their communities;
- Doing client work that promotes climate adaptation, or community resilience;
- Planting 5 trees in my neighborhood
2020-2022
- Providing clients with web hosting options that are powered and/or offset through renewable energy;
- Working with suppliers that have environmental policies;
- Being a founding member and contributor to the Sustainable Design Standard;
- Using non-toxic, plant-based soaps in the office and at home;
- Avoiding printing when possible, and/or print as few copies as possible;
- Using public transportation, walking or ride-sharing services whenever possible;
- Reducing the need for driving by 50% compared to previous years by moving closer to a different part of the city
